I’ve been loving watching and learning more about the Hermit Thrush this winter. I know they are a migrating bird & we are close to the line migration so not sure if this one will leave us soon or go deep into the woods for spring.
Spent quite a bit of time shooting this one as I try to learn the intricacies of my new camera. The OM-1 Mark II. So far loving it! For my type of photography it is game changing as it was designed for birding and other wildlife. Just a lot of new settings to learn.
A rare sighting in our yard actually, the American Blue Jay.

I have photographed a Ruby-crowned Kinglet before but never in my own yard. I certainly wasn’t expecting to see one when I was sitting on the front porch but there it was flittering around. It landed just across from me, providing this great opportunity for a shot in our Willow Tree.
Bonus - The Willow Tree is starting to show buds, I hadn’t noticed. Spring is starting to appear!
